this is from the BBB Box… and from the elusive boxermama. need to dash to bed, but i drank thing tonight and it was tasty. better tasting note next time but for now i need my beauty sleep! training session tomorrow for our sales guys…“how to use our demo effectively” haha

This is one of BoxerMama’s offerings for the BBBB (I miss you!!!).
The Shu base of this is a nice one, no off tastes or anything. Layered over that are chocolate & coffee flavors. I added a little Maple syrup & yum!

Due to my milk allergy, I’ve never had Tiramisu. That’s probably a good thing, because I’d be making it all the time & weighing in at 300 lbs in no time. Luckily, there are teas that taste like decadent desserts, & although I shun most of them because of artificial flavors, there are a few exceptions. So this tea has a decent puerh base, free of funky odors & tastes. The prominent taste is coffee, with an unsweetened cocoa powder backdrop. It’s actually a little bitter, & pretty satisfying to me right now. If I added sweetener that would probably bring out more creamy cakey flavors & it would be more dessert-like…or not. I might try adding a little maple on the resteep, just to see how it turns out…& maybe some of that left over coconut whipped cream…hmmmmm….hopefully it won’t ruin it!

Why not?
Of course, that is just one of my goals. The other goals include 3 hours minimum of practice time, & a couple of hours of writing on my nanowrimo project (I’m miserably behind so far…sigh…).

From the BBBB, thanks to BoxerMama, this is a pleasantly bold morning cup. I thought it would be a sipdown today, but I actually still have enough to drink it one more time, so when I go home this evening I’ll add it to the ‘sipdown’ box.

Another bold brekkie tea from the BBBBox, this one from BoxerMama (I miss you so). I made another 16oz pot, which fills my 5oz blue cup, roughly 3 times. Drew stole 1 cup, but Leif missed out, so I got 2!

I brought my bag of teas from the BBB Box (the 3B Box…the Triple B Box?) to Tony’s. I figured we’ll be eating a decadent brekkie, sitting around in PJs all day, watching Baseball from noon on (Cardinals vs Cincinnati Reds), & hopefully I’ll post a blog entry (I’m a terrible blogger, it takes me forever to create a post).

So, this tea is from BoxerMama! I couldn’t resist starting with it because the name “Scottish Breakfast” is, at least in my mind, synonymous with the word “bold”. And it is! It’s a well rounded cup, with a nice dark chocolate liquor low end, a malty middle, & the high end as fairly bright, my least favorite feature, but it doesn’t ruin the overall cup. I steeped a rounded tsp for 3 min. It’s a little on the astringent side, but definitely lives up to it’s name! Thanks BoxerMama!

Tea number 3 out of the BBBB, this one from Boxermama. My mom really liked this one. Me, not so much. I don’t love tiramisu or coffee flavored teas, but my mom loves all of that so I made this when she came over to watch my kids just so I could have a sip and then let her enjoy the rest. The puerh, while definitely present, doesn’t overwhelm the flavors. I can imagine it’s actually pretty tasty if you like tiramisu flavor and it resteeps really well. My mom took the rest of my sample home with her. I’m slowly converting her to tea. One mug at a time. Thanks for helping with me with the cause Boxermama!

Taste was nothing I would care to experience again, though I can’t pinpoint what I didn’t like. It also gave me a terrible headache.
