Good Earth Teas

I had to sweeten this a little but I think I may have steeped it a little much for this particular brand. I’ll have to have another cup of tea to make sure [:)]. Anyway, this is fairly good. Not my favourite earl grey but, for a bagged tea, it’s more than acceptable. It does have a definite citrus taste (not too strong) and the bergamot taste is a little stronger, in my opinion, than the Twinings Earl Grey.

I found this tea to be quite excellent! It is delicate, tasty, does not get bitter through the duration of drinking. I really enjoy this tea. It has a well balanced flavor profile, you get the essence of Jasmine with a bright, clean and clear taste of green tea without the astringency. I am anxious to try this brand’s other offerings. I would recommend this tea as an “everyday” green tea for the Jasmine green tea lover; as compared to the Jasmine teas I have recently reviewed, Steven Smith Teamaker’s Jasmine offerings are more for elegant dining because of the quality of the tea and the amount of Jasmine used to make such premium products.

Good Earth Tea products are for the everyday, health-conscience, environmentally-conscience consumer. I will be purchasing their other flavors in the near future. I do highly recommend this tea and this brand.

I used to like this tea and thought it was pretty incredible tasting (I couldn’t believe that a tea could have this much flavor and be this sweet without sugar). Then I saw the 2nd or 3rd ingredient was “artificial flavor”. Well, sometimes you expect a tea to have artificial flavors and it doesn’t pretend to be an ‘herb tea blend’ (Ie, you know that it’s flavored and that is ok). I always got the impression that this was an amazing tea because it was just herbs and spices (mmmm….like the secret recipe of 12 herbs and spices for KFC). But when I found out it tasted like that because of artificial flavors….well, that pretty much killed it for me (kind of like when it was revealed that KFC’s secret blend of “12” herbs and spices was the “secret” 3 – salt, pepper, and MSG…).

There are far too many other options for very flavorful, spiced teas that don’t depend on artificial flavors. I could still drink this, but I won’t be buying it…

Great as an after dinner tea , with some desert,,,especially something of a caramel , or maple flavor to compliment the full bodied flavors of this tasty tea

I found a bag of this in my backpack – so, it’s probably 1-2 years old. I recently discovered the hot water dispenser at work, and it is so freezing in the AC I really needed a cup of hot tea. This was really a pleasant surprise. I really don’t remember liking this all that much when I first had it, but today it is great. The ginger (and perhaps other spices, as I see there are a lot of other ingredients) is coming through most strongly, but there is a nice fruitiness without being sweet. Perhaps it is the non-standard steeping conditions – less-than-boiling hot water in my stainless steel insulated mug.

Not my favorite of the teas in my cupboard. It’s very strong, especially the anise and ginger. But, it’s really soothing on a sore throat. Just make sure that it’s really hot when you drink it, the flavor goes a little funny, I think, when it gets closer to room temperature.

Very rich, full flavor. A bit strong, but easily balanced with a slight addition of milk.

I like making my chai by scratch, but this blend is very nice. Makes for a great dessert brewed in a mix of almond and rice milk, no sugar needed.

I love lemongrass and I love green tea, I just don’t like this blend one bit. It was way too much lemongrass for me and too sour. Maybe I just like lemongrass in blends.

A very mild vanilla tea. Slightly sweet, not as rich as other Good Earth teas can be. It tastes like cheap white tea, but the flavor hides it gracefully. I like it, but I don’t know if I’ll buy it again.

I easily go through a box of this tea a week. My parents have been drinking this tea for the last 25 years, so it is in my genes to be also addicted to it. I always recommend it to people who are trying to get of drinking sugar drinks. It’s such a rich tea, I don’t even think I have ever drank it hot! It’s so good cold! I like a small simmer to the water, since I think boiling the water gives it an off flavor.

My favorite part of this tea is how sweet it is!

This is a tea that’s good hot or cold. No caffeine, wonderful to drink. Normally I don’t like anise at all and can taste it in everything, but in this tea it only adds! I was surprised anise was even listed in the ingredients, it’s that subtle! The ginger root adds just the right amount of bite, and since it comes in teabags is perfect for on-the-go!

This is an ideal dessert/after dinner tea. The box says it is vanilla and caramel flavored, and I was concerned that these flavors might be overpowering or too artificial. Not so. Just a good, smooth cup with a subtle sweetness and nice nuttiness (I think that comes from the rooibos)? I actually didn’t notice the spices until I saw the ingredients here on Steepster. This isn’t a notably spicy tea, just nice and mellow. I like it with soy milk and maybe a bit of sugar, but it doesn’t need much sweetening to bring out the flavor.

I really like this one at home, where I can get the water boiling and leave it to steep for a long time. (Sometimes I go do housework and come back as much as 8-10 mins later, almost always good that way.) In those conditions, great spicy flavor. Always have with sugar and half & half.

Unfortunately, it always just falls flat at work – not sure if it’s the not-boiling water or the shorter length of time I usually steep, but it’s just not that good.

Very tasty black tea for the morning. The Apricot is pretty strong, but I like it.

I really enjoy this tea. It is definitely spicy – perhaps the spiciest I’ve ever had. It’s not something I crave every day, but it doesn’t disappoint when I’m in the mood for something spicy and sweet. No sweetener required. I would recommend steeping for 4 minutes at most – some of the spices overpower the more delicate flavors if you steep for too long.

I’m enjoying a bagged tea at work this afternoon. The lemongrass flavor overpowers any green tea that may or may not be present. Nevertheless, this is an enjoyable afternoon tea.

A nice white, slightly sweet and citrus-y (as advertised).

I found this tea full of flavour and smells wonderful.

I really love this one. It’s so good which is why they put 25 bags in the box instead of the usual 20! I need to try some other Good Earth teas!

Now this is the strongest chai I’ve had so far. I love it. It smells up the room.

My soon-to-be-sister-in-law gave us a box of this at New Years, when I was coming down with a nasty cold. Her family drinks it when they’re sick, so I thought I’d give it a whirl. I’ve never been a big fan of rooibos, so I was a bit hesitant, but I finally caved and made myself a cup.

It’s amazingly fragrant and sweet enough that I don’t need to add any kind of sweetener. I was very surprised that I love the flavor; it’s heavy on the cinnamon, which is great. It makes my throat tingle a little as it goes down. If you like spicy teas, this is a great one.

I really liked this tea—it’s sweeter and thicker than other vanilla chais I’ve tried. Let it steep for a long time (about 7 minutes) and add lots of sugar and soymilk. Delicious!

I made a cup of this tea hot, and the spices were just overwhelming — I’m talking a punch to the throat here. Then I got distracted by the book I was reading and let my tea get cold. At first, I was annoyed that I’d have to heat it back up, but I took a sip of it cool and it was a lot calmer. This definitely has potential as an iced tea. When the weather gets warmer, I’ll give it another shot.
