Fortnum & Mason

Mom’s favourite (because I gave it to her for Christmas). Smooth in taste, usually drink it with two spoons of brown sugar.

A formerly London-based friend served this up to me. She prepared it loose cup-by-cup. First the smell is lovely and aromatic, The taste is quite full with a strong but pleasant aftertaste. I’ve heard that it can be served with a splash of milk, which I will have to try. I’ve never had a light pouchong before, which I will have to try and compare this to!

Doesn’t taste as interesting as it smells.

Nothing to write home about.

Reserving judgement on this tea until I give it another go. Had it with breakfast with milk and sugar. Maybe with honey it’ll be better.

This is the best mango tea I’ve ever had. Fortnum and Mason does not skimp on the quality of the black tea, and they are very generous with the mango pieces. My parents very kindly brought this back to me from London, and I will definitely purchase more when I run out.

Delicious. Lapsang Souchong hints.

Smell is rich and muscatal with a hint of rose. Fortnum & Mason has this as a black tea on their website, and while the brew is a deep red-orange, it just doesn’t have the same bite or body of any black teas I’ve tried. Very smooth. I’m used to very light pouchongs which fall under the oolong category, so this was a nice change.

Mid day oolong craving. I need to go back to London and get some more of this.

Good as always. My middle of the day pick-me-up. Teavana Perfect Teamaker.

Soft floral notes, with a warm undertone. Nice mid fermented oolong. A pinch of sugar to bring out the floral more. Brewed in a Teavana Perfect Teamaker(for shame, I know better). I should have used my kyusu, or at least my yixing.

I hadn’t brewed this in a while, to I tired it in a cast iron pot. Just lovely. More floral this time around.

The second cup yields a much more complex flavor than the first. Slightly floral and vegetal. Brewed in a somayaki kyusu.

Very exotic, rich flavor. Delicious green tea, really beneficial to your health, as any green tea can be.
