Very nice! I really like this tisane. It has a deliciously fruity, floral taste that is light and relaxing.
The lavender is so nice here and I like the pairing of the lavender and the rose. They compliment each other very well. The fruit is sweet and a little tart, but not too much. A very pleasant tisane!
I have heard wonderful things about this one from East Pacific and have been wanting to try it and because of LiberTEAs I was able to! YAY! Thanks so much!
Dry – This smells like a Mystery Berry of some sort – maybe a gentle blueberry, a jasmine and other flower mix, and white tea.
Post infusion it really only smells like a light jasmine white tea.
It’s near clear in color.
The taste starts off really crisp and clean and then the jasmine SCREAMS “hello” and it finishes somewhere in between. It does leave a little bit of a jasmine aftertaste tho…much like a jasmine flavored green tea would. Regardless this is a fine jasmine-white! A pure delight!
I am incredibly fond of jasmine green teas, but, I think I enjoy jasmine white teas even more. The softer qualities of the white tea seem to bring out the softer, gentler side of jasmine. Lovely!
This is so good. The white tea is delicate but I can taste the soft, slightly grassy notes. The jasmine is so dreamy!
Preparation
2nd infusion…
WAY different than the 1st…
It’s darker in color post-infusion…a nice orange/honey-brown almost like a Sam Adams lighter color beer! It smells more woodsy and certainly tastes more woodsy than the first infusion. This time around there is a VERY slight peppery hint hiding underneath! BUT…it’s still sweet!
This one has me thinkin’ that is for sure!
This is a truly unique black and I don’t think I could compare it to any other tea I have ever had before.
DRY AROMA – it smells very new – very fresh – almost like when you buy a new jacket!
Post infusion aroma – almost smells like toast and maybe cocoa or something…it’s very hard to explain but it’s very different!
Color – is a lighter to light-medium brown…again, very unique
Taste -
Again, very hard to describe but I will try…
It almost tastes like a black tea and oolong blend/mix. It has ever-so-slight woodsy undertones and is fairly sweet. It has a lighter to light-medium black tea taste, I suppose!
This looks like it would be good for multiple infusions so I am going to try it!
I guess as an afterthought this does have a nice perfume type aroma to it as well – not floral – but something I would like a room to smell like, I guess!
Stay tuned for more notes on this one!!!
This one REALLY surprised me! I mean REALLY! This is the perfect level of tartness for me…AND it has a wonderful smoothness to it that I wasn’t expecting! This also has a comfortable amount of lavender in it that just shows it’s presence and stands in the corner without being too loud. The Blueberries, Raisins, and Currants are a juicy mix calmed down by the lavender and rose petals that almost give it a vanilla type smoothness!
On a level of 1 to 10 – 10 being the highest of shock value that I am enjoying this as much as I am – I want to say I’m at about a 9.
This is delightful!
I just might have to look into a EPTC Order soon! They have some great stuff! THis one is a goodie…passing along the rest in a swap
Backlogging and sipdown from yesterday…I will miss this one a great deal!
Sipdown means the tea is no longer in her cupboard! Finished off the last of it. A bunch of us have kind of borrowed the term, but I think TEB came up with it.
One of the things that I absolutely adore about this tea (aside from it’s amazing flavor) is the aroma! As it brews (and now, as the cup sits here in front of me) the scent takes on the most delightful honey-esque scent. Delightful!
I wrote a full-length review for this tea which will publish this Friday on the SororiTea Sisters blog. In the meantime, please feel free to consult my previous tasting notes about this tea.
Amazing! I do love a good Yunnan – and this certainly fits the bill… to a TEA!
Pleasantly starchy with a sweet potato taste, hints of spice and earth and wood come and go throughout the sip. It finishes with a somewhat dry astringency.
A very fine Yunnan indeed!
ETA: I need to add a huge THANK YOU to TeaEqualsBliss for sending me some of this tea! I really loved this – thank you so much!!!
Preparation
Ohhhhh…Long!
The aroma presents a light citrus note, a little bit of flower, and a little bit of vegetal…
The flavor is softly vegetative, not grassy or an obvious vegetable flavor, just a little vegetative. A very nice citrus note to the flavor too, like an effortless squeeze of orange or tangerine into my cup… again… not strong or obvious – just a little note that sings on the palate.
I like this Oolong a lot.
Edited to add: I was so caught up with how delightful this tea was that I forgot to thank TeaEqualsBliss for sending it to me! Thank you my SororiTEA Sister!
Preparation
Thank you to TeaEqualsBliss for sending me a sampling of this tea.
It’s delightful!
Looking at the dry leaves, I would have never guessed this was a Darjeeling tea. They possess that green/brown color of a Darjeeling tea – although it is quite a bit lighter, but, these leaves are long, slender, and curly, and even have some white-ish tips that made me think that this was perhaps a golden Yunnan… or even some sort of silver spindled needle white tea. But then, I’ve never come across a white Darjeeling before.
But the taste is definitely Darjeeling. Ah… there it is – Muscatel!
Woodsy, musky, with a deep fruity note that tries to hide itself amid the earthy tones. There is a slight floral note as well – just barely there. This tea seems to be almost sparkling! So crisp. So refreshing. So light. Sweet and gentle and beautiful. This is why I love Darjeeling.
Preparation
Lovely! This has a beautiful, gentle sweetness and a tender vegetative flavor. A nice floral note in the background. An excellent Mao Feng!
THANK YOU to TeaEqualsBliss for sending me a sampling of this – I’m so happy that I got to try it – it’s so good!
Preparation
Shhhhhhhh!
Everything about this tea whispers gentle, relaxing, and calm.
This is surprising me for a Green like this. Yes, it’s semi-grassy, semi-sweet – but it’s gentle and pleasant.
For some reason this popped into my head…
Nature’s first green is gold
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
~Robert Frost
Nothing Gold Can Stay*** = This Golden Green will not be staying long in my stash at this rate…it’s a very enjoyable cup and I will be drinking and sharing with friends!
