I love, love, love this kettle! I held out for the longest time, thinking my newfound love of tea was just a fad… but it wasn’t and I finally bit the bullet. It is especially nice if you sip white or green teas as you select the desired temperature. I have nothing bad to say about it.
As for cleaning it, try this tip: Put a tiny bit of liquid dishwasher detergent in the bottom, add a tiny bit of very hot water (1/2 cut) and use a bottle brush to scrub the instead. I also use this method on my metal thermoses and glass teapots. It removes all the tea stains every time (now if only I could use it on my teeth!).
This arrived in the mail today and I am using it to brew my tea this evening. It is certainly easy to use. With a press of a button, I can control the brewing temperature of my tea. It heats up very fast and keeps the water heated (if desired) with a “keep warm” setting. So far, so good.
This product has greatly improved my tea tasting experience. It allows you to easily heat water to a specific tiemperature in half the time it takes to heat up a kettle on my stovetop. At about $90 it struck me as a bit pricey. I don’t regret spending the money. I also think it will last a long time. My friend has one he has had for years.
This is the kettle of my dreams. Easy to use, just push two buttons and it heats up quickly. It also keeps the water warm if you want for 30 mins, which I find handy because I will sometimes forget I have boiled water. Still allows me control in the tea making process.
I love this Kettle.
Though, I do admit it is my first electric kettle, before it I was heating water and taking its temp on a stove top.
I find this kettle very user friendly and so far temps are accurate.
I use it roughly 3-6 times daily and have had for about 4 months now.
The only con I have found is the actually cleaning of the kettle.
It can not be immersed,so weekly I boil water with white vinegar in it to remove the water deposit that gathers in there (I have harder water) then boil plain water again and dump it before making my tea.
Clean the outside with a damp cloth.
But, I do not think that really puts a damper on how wonderful this kettle is!
Love it!
