Fruity, definitely fruity, and even winey. Just not tasty! I couldn’t even finish the cup. That makes three cups of tea that went unfinished today! I need to stop experimenting… (hahahaha as IF I could even attempt such a thing)
Not much else worth saying about this one. I was tempted to try it with milk but I doubt even that could save this.
That said, if anyone can find a use for this(cooking perhaps?), I have a bunch waiting to be used up!
I bought this at a gift shop while I was in Banff. After I noticed that there was a tea collection at this shop, I just had to take a look at what they had. They were mostly ice wine and maple teas, so I had a hard time choosing which one to buy, but I ended up buying this one. It is a Ceylon tea that has a sweet maple scent which isn’t strong or weak, perhaps just right. The flavor though was a bit weaker than what I had expected, so I added some maple syrup to bring it to life and it sort of worked. It is somewhere between medium to heavy bodied, but feels light in terms of caffeine content.
Preparation
An almost perfume-like taste shows the presence of icewine flavouring in this bagged tea. The icewine adds a faint note reminiscent of Darjeeling, though to be more accurate it falls somewhere between the aftertaste of raisins and cream sherry. Probably not a tea I will seek out again, but good experiment for a few bags’ worth of variety in the daily cup routine.
