It is a very sweet subtle black tea. I am loving the flavor. I really like this tea. Low tannin’s make this tea one of my favorite blacks. I will add more notes when I can smell and try it again.

I like this tea very much. It is light and has a delicate sweetness that is quite nice. Citrus tones introduce themselves toward the end of the sip. They start tangy and end sweet. The light roasting adds definition to the beautiful floral tones of this tea. An exquisite tea!

The first infusion is very light in color but flavorful. Both the aroma and taste are slightly buttery and grassy with a nutty edge thrown in. I don’t think I’ve ever had a medium roast oolong but this is very nice.
The second infusion is slightly more bitter and grassy but isn’t off-putting.
The third infusion is on the light side but the bitterness has been replaced with a fruity aftertaste. Unfortunatelu, I don’t think another infusion is in my future. The leaves are fully open and the last infusion wasn’t strong enough to risk another cup.
Overall I’m glad to have tried this as it reminds me why I like oolongs but this isn’t the best example out there.

The aroma is earthy. The flavor is also earthy, but not quite as strong as the aroma might suggest. There is a profound sweetness to this tea – it is deep and pleasant. A very smooth taste to this tea. By the smell I would have thought that this would taste much more “rugged” or rough but it has a very smooth, sweet taste.

Oh this is good! Rich and smooth and robust!

It has a really pleasant sweetness to it and a nice chewiness. Excellent!

This is darker than the darkest coffee I have seen! But the taste is much more smooth than I thought it would be. I’m not fond of the aroma but the taste isn’t bad!

This Tea…Not So Beautiful.

I’m not saying I don’t like this tea…I do…it’s ok…but I wouldn’t call it beautiful…it’s very grassy and there are times I am into grassy greens and there are times I am in the mood for something else. I guess I just wasn’t ready for the level of GRASS this one set off. It’s not my favorite auraTea but I’ll add it to my ‘middle of the road’ pile :)

This is beyond satisfying! I really like this! A sweeter tasting green. Slightly floral and nutty too!

This is a very nice Oolong – much different than I’m used to, so it’s a rather nice change of pace. I can taste notes of spice and even a hint of bitter in the sip – not an offensive type of bitterness, but a savory one that adds a nice contrast to the sweet, nutty flavor. Roasty-toasty flavor is very pleasant. I’m not getting a strong vegetative taste, but there is a nice peach-like background to it.

A very good Oolong!

Grassy, Sassy, Mossy, Earthy, Roasty, Toasty, semi spicy with a semi sweet finish. Not bad!

I’m really not that fond of Pu Er Aromas but once I got past that this was actually pretty good…it was much smoother than I thought it would be. As well as sweeter than I thought it would be. This is decent.

This is a lighter, less bold Golden Monkey but very smooth and tasty. It’s semi chewy and very nice hot or cold! YUM!

I just realized it’s been a while since I have had a nice buttered veggies type tasting green. This is very nice! Crisp and clean yet buttered veggies…yum!

Very smooth, floral, sweet, barest hint of smoke, more wine. Can do multiple infusions.

Just brewed a cup of this up for the first time. It is a nice roasted oolong. Aroma before steeping is roasted earthiness and bit of spiciness. Tight hand rolled balls that unroll nicely. Cooked the liquor aroma is malty, nutty and earthy.When it hits the pallet you get the roasted notes with a dry feel in the mouth. You get a bit of coffee aftertaste and a bit of chocolate. It is not a bad tea and I would drink it once and a while, but I prefer my non roasted oolongs.

Well I brewed this in too much water for first infusion but it still produced a lovely cup of tea. When the leaves are dry you get a bit of floral notes. Once you add the water the creaminess comes through full force. You get hints of almond, milk, flowers from the leaves. The nectar is golden yellow almost honey like. The aroma of the nectar is quite creamy with a bit of sweet cooked rice and some floral after notes. The the tastes come off as a bit creamy but a bit dry on the tongue. I assume that is because it was brewed incorrectly. It has a nice floral aftertaste. I dont get any almond notes in the flavor as I did with some other jin xuan teas. I will brew again correctly and give a second review. This is a verry enjoyable tea even if brewed incorrectly.

Tried this for the first time today. The dry leaves are tightly rolled with a few stems intermixed. The aroma of the dry leaves are earthy with a bit of honey in the background. Wet leaves you get malty and Smokey aroma. The liquor is golden to dark amber and aroma has some lingering floral notes. Flavor of the liquor starts off light with honeysuckle notes but as it cools the maltyness and earthy takes foreground on the toung. Nice oolong but not my favorite.

I had this last night and I must say I was impressed! This was about medium bodied and I could really detect the honey in it along with a bit of an earthy taste to it, but a light earthy taste. I definitley enjoyed this oolong and can’t wait to try the other samples that I received from them!

What an interesting take on green tea! So refreshing yet so unique. It had a delicate flavor depending on how much you steep it which I believe you could play around with. The description is very true as if you over steep it gets very grassy and bitter but not in that much of a bad way, its good lightly steeped and over steeped :)
The taste was nice and elegant all around and a very floral green, which I enjoyed very much! Actually had this one while watching the sunset last night it was simply a great moment with a great tea. It had the “fried green” back taste which usually I’m not the biggest fan of but it just worked. This is my 2/4 auratea samples and I must say so far I am very pleased with how this company deals with tea. I learned so much the last couple days about teas from the regions of Taiwan it’s crazy! This particular tea is like a Taiwanese version of (Dragon Well) the popular chinese fried green. All in all this one’s up there and I drank many teas. My first steepster PERFECT score!
