MMMMmmmmm :] I had this tea on the way to work today. I only steeped it two minutes because I feel like Adagio’s black teas are grumpy. At first all I get is spice but once it starts to cool all of the flavors come out. I can catch hints of caramel, apple, and the creme flavor adds a bit of a smooth note. Overall I reeeaaalllly enjoyed this.
This tea smells like chocolate strawberries! The flavor is pretty sweet. Strawberry is the main flavor followed by creamy vanilla and chocolate notes. I wish it had a bit more chocolate flavor. We will have to fix that.
Finally got around to tasting one of the samples that Kallie sent me. I was unsure of trying this as it was a custom blend and I’ve never tried them before. But this was a black tea and had a nice fruity pleasant sent. On first sip I thought it was delicious, but couldn’t figure out what the heck it tasted like! It took me half a cup to realize it was vanilla and berry. Delicious!
Preparation
KallieBoo! Thanks for a bit of this!
I totally LOVED this one when I saw it because of the adorable pic of Silly Sox KallieBoo! has on the product/description.
There is that rooibos sweetness you can count on but a little bit of nuttiness and a “scoch” of berry, even. “Scoch” is a word my husband uses a lot…meaning a spec or a tad or a hint of something. I don’t even know if I am spelling that right. LOL :)
Regardless this is a neat Rooibos…subtly flavored. As it cools I can also pick up on some vanilla notes :)
Welp. Now that life has calmed down a bunch I have more time to enjoy tea :3
Decided to go with this one because I actually need to sleep tonight. It’s still enjoyable. Hazelnut/chocolate flavors mostly. It blends nicely with the honeybush.
Haven’t had this in a while so I thought I’d make a pot. Still as delicious as before. I only wish there was a tad more chocolate flavors in it.
This tea reminds me of something from Starbucks.. but a lot better. It has caramel rooibos, chocolate rooibos, and hazelnut rooibos. The most dominant flavor is the hazelnut followed by the caramel. The chocolate lingers in the background. The hazelnut always reminds me of coffee but the carmel and chocolate kind of even it out. This tea is actually pretty good. A nice cup before bed or just to relax with.
Preparation
So I’m back logging right now. I drank this at 12 am after I came home from work. The aroma is heavy with vanilla and some nuttiness. The taste is extremely yummy though. It almost reminds me of those almond windmill cookies you get from Trader Joes. SO GOOD.
Preparation
The tea is very moody. It doesn’t like to be made like traditional black tea.. The first time I made it I used boiling water at 3 minutes. It was so… BITTER! But I guess that’s what I get with grapefruit and orange peels… SO we tried it today at 195 for 1 minute and 15 seconds. It turned out delicious! The ginger is the more dominate flavor followed by some citrusy notes. Mostly grapefruit. It’s different but it’s ok. Honestly.. I like it. I will probably play around with it a little more on water temperature and steeping time. See what I can come up with!
