drank Ginger Peach Green by Stash Tea

And now, a short break from my Upton Tea Sample (Extremely Slow) Taste’A’Thon for something a little lighter.

Hmm, I’m getting the peach. And the green. But not so much the ginger. Which is weird, since you’d think the ginger would be the strongest. Perhaps they overcompensated? Or perhaps I should have let it steep longer – I’ve been trying out an iPhone tea timer app name of Camellia, and it said 2 minutes for green, so two minutes is what I went with.

I went with 2 bags for 12 oz (not sure how much water you used) and 4 minutes and got a feisty ginger flavor, with just a hint of peach. Maybe I’ll try it your way as this is too much ginger for me!

I went with the highly scientific “as much water as will fill my mug” which is one of those really obnoxious giant coffee mugs (because more tea is BETTER) and used one bag.
Ah, ThinkGeek informs me that the obnoxious coffee mug holds up to 14 oz, so 12 oz is probably right, since I prefer not to spill scalding water/tea on myself (call me crazy!). What we need is some sort of happy medium! One bag, 4 minutes? 2 bags, 2 minutes?

Bio

I’m a Pole who grew up in Texas, is currently a graduate student in California studying Japan. How’s THAT for random?

Being Polish, my family has always drunk a lot of tea, and I am no different. I may drink more tea than water. On the other hand, I can’t say that I’m very particular about it; I’m generally pretty careless with steeping times and water temperature and I don’t even have a proper teapot (mostly because the lid broke during the move to California ;_;).

I always drink my tea unsweetened and I only add milk in the case of the most egregiously chai-ish of chais. (not really a big fan of milk in general)

Given that so many of my entries seem to be about my morning tea, I felt I should add something here about me and mornings: I fail at mornings. I fail at them a LOT. Therefore I often also fail at proper tea making in the mornings.
