6 Tasting Notes
The new batch of Apple Lemon Pomegranate is incredible! There’s a much stronger apple flavor up front with a very subdued lemon flavor right after. Finally, it wraps up with a nice and sweet pomegranate taste. Give this one another try if it’s been a while.
Preparation
Like Got Matcha’s other flavored matcha blends, this one does not have a strong matcha taste. I still find it delicious, though. It has a really strong lemon and (especially) ginger taste. I’ve rated it slightly lower because you need more of it to make sure it has flavor. With the recommended measurements and the 50 percent off members discount, this one costs about $1/cup. Got Matcha’s regular matcha is about $0.33/cup.
Preparation
This is one of my new favorites, actually. You really need to like Lavender, though, as that is the primary taste.
If the Lavender is too much, you can subdue it with other Teavana teas like Sweet Asian Pear (excellent iced!), or alter the floral flavor by adding Peachberry Jasmine Sutra.
Preparation
This tea has grown on me. The smell is fairly strong, but there is a nice sweet mango taste and just enough curry spice to it. It can be blended with a sweet herbal tea to enhance the flavor, or it can be added to a chai to sweeten the chai.
Preparation
I absolutely love this tea. It has a sort of oak-ey, nutty, honey flavor. It’s high in umami, and you can breathe in and taste it again after sipping it. It resteeps very well, with the second and third steeps being the sweetest and most savory. The fourth steep starts to get very light, but longer steep times do help.
