23 Tasting Notes
Backlogging from yesterday due to a 7 hour power outage in my town…
I had a great tea log for this tea written yesterday, but when the power went out, it got deleted some how. So I’m going to keep this one really short and sweet, because thats basically how this tea was. The cup only took me about 3 minutes to finish and it was pleasantly sweet. The peach aroma and smell are my favorite of all the teas I’ve tried and the green/white teas blend perfectly. My favorite tea to date.
Preparation
This is the last tea that I had to try from Mighty Leaf, and I was a little turned off by some of the ingredients listed on the box. I’m not a fan of licorice at all. But I went in with an open mind anyway, and was pleasantly surprised. As the tea was steeping, the aroma of cinnamon was most prevalent, and was extremely pleasing. The liquor looked almost green tea like. The taste was nothing like the original cinnamon smell surprisingly. The mint flavor dominated the tea, with hints of sweet flavor underneath it. Definitely the best herbal tea I’ve tried so far.
Preparation
So my birthday just passed last week, and my sister got me three boxes of Mighty Leaf Tea Pouches. Basically, loose leaf tea in a nice silk pouch. Yes, I do prefer the true loose leaf tea, but hey…whose going to complain about some new teas to try? So this was the first black tea I’ve had in a while, and I was really looking forward to it. The box only had steep time directions (4 minutes), so I let the water come to a complete boil. The aroma only has the slightest hint of vanilla smell. Its very pleasant, but not overpowering by any means. When the tea first hits the tongue, the vanilla taste really isn’t there, but it shows up a few seconds after the initial sip. The aftertaste is sweet and satisfying, and leaves me wanting another taste. Overall, this is a very tasteful and relaxing tea. Good first impression of Mighty Leaf.

Backlogging from last night…
This was my first cup of tea in like two weeks. That is absolutely insane. It just shows how crazy school and soccer have been. It felt so relaxing to just sit back and sip on some citron. Really need to order some new tea.
Preparation
I was really craving something sweet this afternoon, and I headed right for my tin of Pisces. Steeped for a much shorter time this go around and the result is really pleasurable. The orange notes are stronger, but the rooibos flavor is dominant. I still can’t get an understanding of the chamomile taste. The flavors blend into a sweet, light tea that satisfies the palette.
Boo..for disappearing tealogs! But yay for short and sweet teas! Sometimes, that’s all that matters! :)
thats for sure =)
