103 Tasting Notes
I got a generous sample of this tea when I ordered the Chestnut black tea from Adagio. I think that I like this one even more, although I think that I think that I steeped the Chestnut incorrectly.
Flavors: Marzipan
Preparation
My weekly trip downtown to David’s Tea resulted in a cup of Pure Chai. I drink a lot of cinnamon flavored teas, but this one is different; it is savory not sweet. It is also a chai without cardamom which is a nice change since cardamom is not my favorite flavor and in some chai teas it is overpowering. This was a nice change.
Flavors: Cinnamon, Cloves, Nutmeg
Okay, so today was my weekly outing to David’s Tea near my office to try something new. I feel that my palate has gotten more refined, and I have been getting adventurous lately in trying plain teas. So, I had my first cup of pu-erh ever. My first impression was that it smelled like buttcrack. It didn’t taste bad, but I couldn’t get by my initial impression.
Flavors: Dirt, Sweat
