This is a lovely little tea shop. It’s very quiet and seems to be out of the way. My brother and I were able to have a nice long talk with one of the employees today.
She was very knowledgeable and offered great and interesting perspectives on some of the teas they sell. She didn’t even try to pressure us into buying any of the teas, which was a nice change, unlike other places where the employees sort of make you feel like you’re obligated to purchase something just because you’ve smelled a couple of teas.
We still bought some tea, but it was nice not feel that we HAD to.
They’ve got a pretty nice selection too. While not exhaustive, there is certainly enough variety to offer some new and interesting teas, as well as some of the more common staples – like Earl Grey.

There are no words to describe my joy when this store appeared in the Avalon Mall and I have been a frequent visitor since it opened last fall. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, always ready to offer recommendations and will even brew up small samples of tea in addition to the standard “smell-test.”
They have a larger venue than other DAVIDsTEA stores that I have been in, which is really nice for when the store manages to get more crowded.
It’s always worth a visit.
This is my go-to place for loose-leaf tea. They have an amazing selection and free samples, to boot! Love the staff there too, they’re so friendly and helpful, always offering up recommendations and talking about the new teas.
Any trip to the mall just isn’t complete without a venture into DAVIDsTEA. If only they had a slightly larger space; it can get pretty crowded in there.
