11 Tasting Notes
I really love this tea. It tastes like spiced bubblegum and sweet like candy. Not much to say other than that, I don’t taste any wine flavor. The name is kind of misleading.
Flavors: Candy, Spices, Sweet
Preparation
I love green tea and have lots of “plain” varieties of it from when I visited China. Instantly when I smelled this tea I thought it smelled so delicious I couldn’t wait to try it, it smells very sweet and is pretty with the blue flowers in it. I first tried it at the 4 minute mark and then let it steep longer, as I wanted a stronger flavour. (I like strong tea)
I do really enjoy this tea, it is very nice but kind of plain. You can taste hints of almond and marzipan kind of flavours. I think it would compliment food very well but it is not that fun on it’s own as a “treat” like some other teas. My favourite thing about it is that it is sweet without the added calories of sugar.
For me it is a nicer version of regular green tea.
Flavors: Almond, Flowers, Marzipan, Nuts, Sweet
Preparation
Did not impress me, I’ll have to try it again soon. I did not really taste much of the chocolate flavour compared to other tea’s such as Love Tea from David’s. I’ll try a few things and rerate it. (Different times ect.)
Preparation
Overall: Smells really good and is a nice, spicey/sweet black tea.
Flavors: Spices, Sweet
Preparation
Pleasantly tart and sour. Reminds me of an unsweetened strawberry jam kind of taste. I really like it for what it is, I tend to hate sour things but this works well. First time I had this I found it quite weak, but second time I let it steep a little longer (10 minutes) and I really enjoyed it. (Note: I like strong tea! I recommend tasting it at a few different intervals if you’re worried.) Would be good with sweet baked goods.
Flavors: Fruity, Jam, Pleasantly Sour, Rhubarb, Strawberry, Tart
Preparation
This tea is just fine and satisfies I specific craving I sometimes have. I would drink it any day but I don’t particularly enjoy or love it. It reminds me of the tea my grandma would give to me when I was a little girl, the kind of boring tea that is nice with cookies. Sometimes I just crave this kind of tea, for me it does not stand out on its own but it goes well with baked goods. The hints of peppermint make it a bit more fun then just any old tea though.
(Basically it is a staple to own something like this for myself, but it is not a tea I would look forward to as a treat. )
Flavors: Flowers, Peppermint, Tea
Preparation
I love the smell of this tea, for this reason it stands out a lot. It smells like “Christmas” and it is very relaxing. The flavor itself is good as well, I do enjoy it but I still find myself looking for something more. Definitely will buy again around Christmas.
Flavors: Butter, Cinnamon, Hibiscus
Preparation
I definitely like this, but I’m not crazy in love with it. If I’m craving something nutty though this is so far my favorite to satisfy that craving. The apples are a nice touch.
Flavors: Apple, Nuts, Spices
