9 Tasting Notes
Got this tea last night after dinner with the hubby. A little sushi and afterwards in the grocery store, I saw this little gem! Mmmm I think this is one of the better mint teas I have ever had. It tastes full bodied and creamy to me. Very nice and easy on the throat. Fragrant fresh mint wafts through the air…ahhh :) delightful.
I like most of stash teas, thanks to Big Lots, I own several kinds. Another great evening time creamy pick me up and decaf, great for before bed! This tea, a fire, a Blanket and a good book! Ahhh. it’s good for bagged tea… Am getting more and more into loose tea, The potency is way better than bagged. like I said, when I was on more of a budget, stash is a good bagged tea, this one is among my favorites with stash.
Bitter, bitter, bitter taste! To me, this tea has an unpleasant bitter aftertaste. The beginning, warm and orange, then bitter yuk! I had to add 2 stevia sweeteners! I try to taste the tea and not muddy it up with loads of milk or sweeteners. That said, some teas I enjoy doing milk and honey or stevia or agave. A fruit tea like this is generally not one of them. :(
I first tasted this last year after a tea trader friend sent it to me…I bought 3 boxes and keep it stocked! Love chocolate and this tea really helps curb the cravings and makes me feel warm and cozy! Very smooth a lovely anytime tea!
Preparation
This sounds lovely~!
I’m a fan of a coffee pu-erh with chocolate/almond notes, it sounds like this one would be right up my alley!
It is! Maybe we will be paired or whomever is your trade buddy is, will send you some! Thats what I love about the trade! I’m having my last cup of azteca fire right now! It’s rainy and cool out, perfect for a nice spot of tea! :) salute’/ cheers!
Love this tea! A chocoholics dream! Chilis and chocolate are awesome together! A very warm flavor. I steep it about 6 mins, love that deeper flavor. Oh and strawberries aren’t bad either :) it does taste cinnamony to me also :)
