15938 Tasting Notes
I was overwhelmed today during my “break” at Majesteas. Too many things i really wanted to try but sadly they pretty much only sell their teas in 100g sizes. While that’s fine if you know you LOVE a tea, it’s a bit much if you don’t know if you like it. So I opted to have another cup while I was htere and give this one a try.
It was great! I really love how fresh the tea is, and love the streawberry flavouring. I didn’t find it astringent at all. Though I didn’t end up leaving with this particular tea, it’s now on my list to go back and pick up sometime when I manage to sip down more of my stash.
Stopped in to Majesteas today after hanging out with the Zombies. It was a bit of a rainy day so I just wanted to sit somewhere nice and have a cup of. This is their fall blend that comes and goes every year. I enjoyed this tea, though I would favour others for the pumpkin spice flavouring. It was a bit on the lighter side, for those that don’t like heavily spiced “pumpkin spice” tea. I’d for sure drink this again though!
Basic bag tea that is “good enough” in a pinch when I don’t have time for loose leaf :) enjoyed this one yesterday but forgot to log it.
I can get behind this one in summer as a cold brew tea. I like adding a bit of sugar too…though I’m also a fan of mixing this with lemonade. Had a bag of this left over that I wanted to finish off. Wheee!
I was just digging through my tea cabinet, looking for bagged teas to bring to the Harp Society Salon event tomorrow, & the pickin’s are slim, but I did come across a box of Wild sweet orange! It’s a little intense of a tea for me, but every once in awhile I have a cup, usually over ice.
Rainy day. Check. Errands to run. Check. Zombie walk in downtown Toronto. Check.
Soo what better tea to keep warm and enjoy the sights? This one! Haha yay for chocolate, minty zombie watching fun in the rain! And a sip down too! Yay for making a bit of room in my cupboard. Kinda. Since my errands involve at least one tea shop. This may be hard nt to pick up more.
Bumping this up a bit in rating. Opened the cupboard this morning to try and decide on a tea with breakfast and opted to give this one another try. I’m not sure if its the time that its had to sit in the cupboard but its a much tastier cup now. It’s not something ill necessarily keep as a full time occupant in my cupboard but I won’t crinkle my nose up anymore if someone offers me a cup. I’m glad I gave this one another shot.
One of the girls in the office bought this and decided after that she didn’t want it. So i got it! This isnt a bad little tea – better than the himalayan in my opinion but i think that laoshan black from verdant has spoiled me. I’m always looking for my straight blacks to be robust and have different flavours going on. I would get this again but as an every day tea rather than anything special
mmm I still enjoy this tea. I made this in the morning and thanks to my wonderful travel mug it’s still warm after having my other tea this morning. THIS is the kind of flavour i was hoping for from the other tea this morning. I love that this tea has a rich taste that doesn’t just turn into orange pekkoe or yellow water. heh Also hoping to snag an order from stacy this weekend i think it was to try the other assam that was accidentally shipped to them whee! mmmmmm tea!
We are going to technically have 4 Assams in stock. We just got the golden tip Assam plus that accidental shipment. Then we have this Assam and the Taiwanese Assam. We will be dropping the price of this Assam to $2.00 an ounce since we will be discontinuing this one.
Hahaha. Well, not too bad for the wallet. $2.00 an ounce isn’t too bad plus that other Assam is free. The Golden Tips Assam should be pretty reasonable.
This isn’t a bad tea, just not my favourite. There are other apple blends out there that i prefer. I don’t really get the “rose” flavour at all which is fine by me since i tend NOT to like that sort of thing. I’m happy to have tried it at least. Another tea off the list :)
Got any Steepster friends in Toronto? Maybe you can do a group purchase and divide the 100g to make it worthwhile for everyone. =)
they will make up a sample for you if you ask nicely :)
maybe 15g
Indigo…yeah but the offer was then proceeded by “but it can be more expensive that way” which to me means….“we don’t really want to be doing that”
true, it doesn’t leave them with much profit. Not so bad if you pair it with another purchase. Say a to go cup or another full 50g of something else etc
