15467 Tasting Notes
mmmm I really like how the flavours in this one blend together without overpowering one another. While I’d normally have this later in the day, I decided to start my day out with it for a treat. It’s my second last day of this job and today is day 3 with the personal trainer so I need a little pick me up! :)
So I really need to try this iced sometime. I seriously love this tea – though it always throws me for a loop on the first sip because it’s hot and because of the taste I’m expecting a cold smoothy type drink :) I really think Stacy nailed this one and for anyone who enjoys mangos it’s a keeper.
So i have to say I really enjoy this one – better than the Mandarin Silk by a bunch. The rooibos isn’t overpowering the tea so I’m still enoying it and the vanilla isn’t too strong. Instead it just adds to the creamy factor. I’d order this one again to have as a nice treat in the evening.
mmmm… I haven’t had a chance to get to DT’s yet at the suggestion of The Tea Fairy for my sore throat so this is my morning choice. It’s a bit of a grey day here in Toronto, and combined with feeling under the weather i’m up to my usual tricks to not let the depressing outside ruin my mood. I wanted something that not only tasted wonderful but would give me something to smell that would put a smile on my face. This tea certainly does that! It boggles my mind every time i drink it just how wonderful the flavouring is in this. While I know their cantelope and cream is out winning award, I have to say that this Butiki Tea is also one of my favs.
Not an ideal set up at work for tea as I’m mid move to a new job but it’ll have to do. Four more days left! Bit of a sore throat today and a session with the trainer this evening so I’m trying to stave off any chance of getting sick. Still loving the vanilla flavor as it’s not too overpowering. Mostly this is just the tea I needed to start off my crazy week!
awww.. sorry to hear you have a sore throat I hope you feel better soon :D
Sil, since you probably have access to a DT’s, you should keep some Licorice Twist around for sore throat, I rarely take medication and this tea has proven to be very effective for me…but it all depends if you can tolerate licorice, I know some poeple just can’t! Prends soin de toi:-)
Merci bien tea fairy! I’ll try that out – there’s one around the corner from work I can stop into tomorrow ;) I looooooooove licorice :)
I don’t think I’ll ever have this tea hot – one of the reasons I bought it was to make my own Passion Tea Lemonade. Toss in a bit of tangy sour lemonade with this and a bit of rock sugar and you have yourself a party! :)
Preparation
I wasn’t sure what to expect with this tea – it’s only my second chocolate tea and the other was David’s Tea – Read my lips. What i love about this tea? It’s a totally different beast than the David’s tea! I was a little worried that they’d be too similar but where Read my Lips is all about the minty after taste that leaves me wanting more, this is a more subtle tea with more of the chocolate coming through. Overall a really nice tea for this evening.
