Not an ideal set up at work for tea as I’m mid move to a new job but it’ll have to do. Four more days left! Bit of a sore throat today and a session with the trainer this evening so I’m trying to stave off any chance of getting sick. Still loving the vanilla flavor as it’s not too overpowering. Mostly this is just the tea I needed to start off my crazy week!

awww.. sorry to hear you have a sore throat I hope you feel better soon :D

Azzrian

Get better soon Sil!

Sil

Thanks Azz!

Sil, since you probably have access to a DT’s, you should keep some Licorice Twist around for sore throat, I rarely take medication and this tea has proven to be very effective for me…but it all depends if you can tolerate licorice, I know some poeple just can’t! Prends soin de toi:-)

Sil

Merci bien tea fairy! I’ll try that out – there’s one around the corner from work I can stop into tomorrow ;) I looooooooove licorice :)

TheTeaFairy

Great:-) But I have to warn you, it’s very bold! There’s a lot going on, (read the ingredients on their website) but I like it and it woks for me!

I don’t think I’ll ever have this tea hot – one of the reasons I bought it was to make my own Passion Tea Lemonade. Toss in a bit of tangy sour lemonade with this and a bit of rock sugar and you have yourself a party! :)

This is exactly why I keep it in my cupboard too!

….great iced tea and even better not spending the 5$ at starbucks for them to make it heh

No change here – still one of my top teas, though I woudln’t be surprised if something knocks it out of the park eventually :)

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this tea – it’s only my second chocolate tea and the other was David’s Tea – Read my lips. What i love about this tea? It’s a totally different beast than the David’s tea! I was a little worried that they’d be too similar but where Read my Lips is all about the minty after taste that leaves me wanting more, this is a more subtle tea with more of the chocolate coming through. Overall a really nice tea for this evening.

This is for sure a dessert tea for me. Love the caramel notes but it’s not something I’d drink all day long. Really nice blend of green tea and caramel though. This will be nice after dinner when it’s a bit colder outside :)

This is a really nice tea though not quite what I expected when I brewed it. I’d really like to try it cold to see how the flavours change. For this morning, this is a great tea. I’m on the verge of getting sick, or at least my throat appears to be telling me that. I have gradually been figuring out that I’m not a fan of rooibos but in this tea the rooibos is so light that I don’t mind it.

My first tea from Verdant and a nice change from the flavoured teas that I’ve been trying lately. These teas make me wish I was set up to brew gong fu style. Love the smell that comes off this tea – cocoa and warm bread. I won’t do this tea justice with my descriptions so I won’t even try. I’m looking forward to multiple steeps of this to run through the flavours.

You can use mugs as gaiwans easily. The instructions are on Verdant’s website. I always check the brewing instructions there anyway for each tea before I go wild later on my own. I’ve brewed in tumbler glasses, glass bowls, etc. Just need a strainer and that’s all.

Sil

Bonnie! Thank you so much…I actually hadn’t noticed that and of course now that you’ve pointed it out my brain is of course laughing at me for not thinking of it myself :) I’m so not going to let the other half know though…that way i can stll find one later on this year grin

Mmmm my first tea from the Persimmon Tree! I don’t usually enjoy vanilla flavoured teas but the vanilla taste in this tea is very well balanced. I think now that i’ve had a chance to delight in a number of teas I’m going to have to go back and re-rank them all heh.

So no real clue what to write about myself here. A friend got me into drinking loose tea and it’s something I thoroughly enjoy though I have nowhere near the experience that many folks on the boards seem to have.

My other interests are cycling, reading, board games, disney cruises, world of warcraft and dancing – in no particular order. I love travelling as well!

Most of that is on hold these days though, including tea drinking like I used to as I have a new little one who eats up all my spare time.
