I’m not a fan of oolongs as a general rule, but i do love pear. Nicole sent this one my way to try as such. Dry, this smells amazing..love it. Brewed up however is a different story. This is too floral for me, but when i DO get the pear flavour for that split second, it’s amazing. I just wish that this was on a green tea base or a black base lol thanks for the share nicole! :)

you obviously prefer the heavily oxidized Oolongs. I remember you loved some I sent you.Pear is a flavour I love to get on an oxidized base for sure.
yes..roasty, oxidised oolongs are what i prefer (butiki has a few green oolongs i really love though…) but on the whole, i just don’t love oolongs.
Pear is so damn tricky. Forsman makes a pear sencha but not sure if you’d even like that one either. It was quite artificial-tasting.
Thank you so much for your feedback, Sil! If you’d like to try a similar blend on a green tea base, we do blend a Pear Tree Green: http://www.tealeaves.com/organic-pear-tree-green.
It’s been so popular over the years that we’ve added a classic teabag version, as well as a Pear Green iced tea blended to be at its best when chilled.
