This was recommended at the Teavana store when we asked for a gunpowder green, which my boyfriend likes. The SA advised this would be close in flavor.

I’m not a fan, personally. I haven’t met many plain green teas that I like. I tend to prefer jasmine green or genmaicha. Anyway, this was steeped for 3 minutes and turned a very lovely pale yellow-green.

The flavors are light… But the bitterness is heavy. This tea is pretty and smells nice, but I’m not enjoying the flavor. Maybe it’s too subtle for my unrefined taste buds.
