8 Tasting Notes

So I brewed 2.5 teaspoons of this in my PersonaliTea teapot for 4 minutes.
I tasted it straight but decided to add sugar and a splash of milk. The overall taste was sweet, chocolate, vanilla, caramel, all meshed together with the malty flavor of the irish breakfast mingling throughout.

note that this is a blend that I’ve created so my review might be a little biased.

Recieved a sample of this from Terri the Harp Lady about 2 weeks or so ago, I’ve made it about 3 times now and I’m loving this, not an everyday type of tea, it tastes like rose perfume and medium to light black tea with a hint of some kind of fruit that reminded me of a sour berry. Today being Valentines day I made a tea bag with the loose leaves and a coffee filter before leaving the house and brewed a cup of this in my travel mug before starting my shift at work [I work retail and I find no matter what I’m doing I always get really thirsty at work so I carry my travel mug with me.
Delicious and it didn’t get nasty when it got cold like some teas.

Anyway, it’s too ‘perfumey’ when you drink it straight I find, though it might help if I was a bit more particular on steep times and temperature, of course if I do feel like I’ve ‘burnt’ or oversteeped a tea I do adjust. I take mine with two spoonfuls of sugar to even out the perfume taste and it works well.
steeped for 4 minutes in boiling water. anyway a delicious blend of loose tea and flowers.
Drink with love,
Audrie Rose

Glad you liked it! Ironically, I had planned on drinking this on Valentines day, which I totally forgot was today! LOL!

Sweet and pleasant, not something I enjoy often but it’s a good, inexpensive raspberry tea. Good hot or iced, I usually sweeten mine up a little and don’t usually add milk but sometimes I do add milk. It’s sweet without any sweetener and brews to a red/pink color.

mmm, sweet and minty black tea, got this as a sample in a box of Earl Grey by Twinings. Mint is fresh and soothing, the black tea is strong and caffeinated.

A lovely cup of tea, and one of my favorites, I got the loose tea version for Christmas and I have to say I am loving it. I steep a teaspoon and a 1/4 [sometimes 1/2] using a coffee filter. This is great to put in my travel mug for the mornings when I have to work, has a good caffiene content and wakes me up nicely. The taste is very strong and delicious I’m not sure if malty is the right word but I’ve seen it used.

This tea does however have a bitterness to it, and I’m not sure it’s due to water temperature or oversteeping it might just be because of the strength.
However any bitterness in the cup tends to disappear with the addition of milk and sugar and this is the only tea I regularly add milk to.

Overall it makes a good strong cup of delicious tasting black tea that’s perfect for the morning or late evening, comfortingly strong. Goes well with sweetener and milk.

black tea, slightly sweet and a bit orangey on the aftertaste, I think the bergamot in here is a bit floral and bright. I take mine with honey and sometimes a slice of lemon, I think this is a good introductory Earl Grey Tea and will definitely be trying others.

update:I’ve got two tea bags left of this one already!

Great for a pick me up or to help you feel a little better if you’re under the weather, I can taste the lemon with the plain tea and a little honey, but I like to add more lemon when I’m feeling sick or under the weather or a thin lemon slice to the top.

my first Tea Review, I’ve always drank tea but I’ve never really paid much mind to what I was drinking, I know I like green tea, herbal teas, and such. but I want to get into black tea. I’ve been drinking Bigelow French Vanilla, and I think it’s a nice black tea with LOTS of Vanilla. I add a LITTLE sugar and milk to it, drinking it tonight while doing christmas stuff to my room.
