When I first tried this at Teavana, they gave me a cup of hot, delicious, fruity, full-tasting tea that hinged on red wine. Without second thought, I ordered 2 ounces ASAP. As soon as the package entered my house, it was opened and the tea was steeped, producing a luscious red color. I ordered some rock sugar along with it, so I put about a teaspoon in the steeper along with it.
Lemme tell ya, it was good, but I was bit disappointed. The guy in Teavana must have put at least twice the suggested amount in there. So I brewed another cup, this time adding a little more tea and sugar, and it tasted a lot better. I’d suggest around 3 and a half teaspoons of tea and maybe a little over a teaspoon of sugar. The tea is full of fruit flavor, and I get a lot of grape and pomegranate, which masks the tea itself. I have yet to find the vanilla flavor that’s advertised. Yet still, this remains at the top of my list, and is like to stay there a while longer.
