If I were to open a tea shop, I would do it like Hina’s. It is very modern in style, the tea selection is great, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and not pretentious and her prices are great. I don’t live in Sacramento but always stop when I visit. I’ve been told that if there’s something specific I’m looking for, call next time I’ll be up and they’ll make sure they have it in stock. That just shows to me that they honestly love tea and care about their customers which makes me wish Hina’s was closer than a 7 hour drive.
I was going to be in Dana Point and somehow found out about this place. I’m very glad that I stopped by. Desiree blends all of her own teas and is very knowledgeable and happy to talk with you about what she’s got. She has a line of teas inspired by local beach towns. The Casa Romantica is really great.
I don’t make it down to Dana Point very often but try to make it here when I do.
