21 Tasting Notes
I like this tea for when I can’t decide between a fruit flavored black tea, or a spiced black tea, because it’s both! Honestly, I don’t think this one is particularly remarkable, but I happen to have a fondness for both apricot and cloves, so I’m a fan. (And no, I’ve never eaten a fresh apricot, so I can’t judge if it tastes like the real thing or not.)
When I was a little girl, my mother took me out to high tea for the first time, and I had a jasmine scented green tea. Since then, it has always been one of my favorite flavors of tea. This tea tastes like that, only, like, better by and exponent of ten. It smells like leaves after the rain (and jasmine), and the first thing you taste is the excellent oolong, then you get orange, and it has an intriguing aftertaste of saffron. One of my new favorites, I think!
Preparation
I am drinking this tea at one in the morning as I strive to finish a paper. This is a decent tea. I am particularly fond of the warm feeling that the spices leave on the tongue. It also tastes delicious with honey. (I do not regularly put honey in my tea, but I am trying to improve a cough.) This is a good, approachable, easy to drink black tea.
