Had to add this to the database this morning…hopefully I didn’t just create a duplicate entry. Apologies if I did!
It’s very different from what I was expecting. The dry scent is very herbal; very similar to the “Get …” series from Republic of Tea.
I taste the red clover first, I think…at least, something herbal is the first note. I get a hint of the pu-erh, and then the ginger and cayenne hits. I’m very glad I didn’t steep for a full 5 minutes! It’s pretty darn good, but I just don’t think I can handle the cayenne.
MelissaPicoli, thanks for sending me this sample!! I think it’s got too much heat for me, sadly.

Hi Jaime…Thanks for comments! It isn’t for everyone. The cayenne serves a very specific metabolic purpose, and is lovely for circulation. This tea really is intended as a beauty tonic, rather than a delicious beverage, and tonics have taste “challenges!” Have you ever tasted plain burdock tea. not good, but so beneficial. Blended with the other beautifying herbs in this blend though, the taste kinda disappears. Thanks for trying it! If anyone else wants a sample, PM me!
p.s. don’t steep 5 minutes! steep a couple minutes, then re-steep up to three times. Mellows the cayenne. Also, try it again, I’ve had a lot of people who loved it after the third time trying it.

I went three to start. I definitely will be trying it again, and maybe do a “rinse” on it and then steep for about 2 minutes. I liked all of it, just that the cayenne hit me a bit hard. And, I’ll admit, I drink for the taste, not the benefits. Benefits are just a bonus for me.
