7 Tasting Notes
Easily one of my favourite black teas, and a lovely twist on the standard Earl Grey. The tartness of the grapefruit is more forward than the usual bergamot, and the scent divine. When steeping a second time, I reduce the steep time to 2 minutes or less. I often add just a pinch of extra tea to my second steep just for that fresh burst of grapefruit.
Flavors: Citrus, Grapefruit
Preparation
A very relaxing herbal blend, but a hint of bitterness… perhaps the valerian? The chamomile isn’t overly strong, which is nice, but adding some extra peppermint (I have a plant on the windowsill) made it even better. That said, I like Teaopia’s Sleep Well blend a bit more, although Mother’s Little Helper is still a nice cup before bed and it does help with sleep.
Preparation
One of the nicer jasmine green teas I have tried – I have purchased this one repeatedly. Smooth flavour, nice fragrance and can be steeped 2 to 3 times assuming the water isn’t too hot. I steep it a little cooler than recommended… not usually over 75 C.
Preparation
I’m not overly fond of this one as a hot tea – perhaps it’s the combination of the cinnamon with the floral or herbs. I’ve tried it several times, all hot, and while I wish I could like it, I simply don’t. It’s OK as an iced tea but there are plenty of others I prefer iced over this one.
