My full-length review of this tea can be read here: http://sororiteasisters.com/2014/07/31/new-vithanakande-black-tea-from-p-m-david-silva-sons/
I really love the caramel-y notes of this tea. It’s sweet and almost creamy. Lovely notes of malt. There is also a pleasant fruit note to this that is somewhat reminiscent of sweet berries without the tartness that is commonly associated with berry. I am even picking up on some notes of raw cacao.
Robust, rich and full-flavored are not words that I generally associate with Ceylon teas but this is an exceptional Ceylon. A bold and delicious tea!
