When it comes to Darjeeling teas, seriously, I’d be hard pressed to find a purveyor that is better than Darjeeling Tea Lovers. The teas that they send me are top-notch. Some of the very finest I’ve found anywhere at any price.
The aroma of the dry leaf is sweet, floral with notes of fruit. There is a slight herbaceous note to the tea as well – reminiscent of basil.
The fruit and flower meld beautifully. Beautiful muscatel! The floral notes are softer than the fruit, the muscatel notes are profound. I like the way the basil-y notes in the aroma translate to the flavor too, they offer a slight minty note when I draw a breath over my palate after I finish a sip. Cooling and crisp!
