This flavored matcha is a bit different from what I would normally try, which is one of the reasons why I decided to order it. That, and I have a history with hemp. In college (and long afterward) I was a strong advocate for the legalization of hemp farming/production. No, not marijuana, hemp. They are different, they even come from different strains of the plant.
Anyway, I wanted to try it and I’m glad I am. This is really very good. The hemp gives the matcha a very pleasant nutty kind of flavor, and seems to accentuate the vegetative, earthy qualities of the matcha. It is smooth, creamy and very tasty. I won’t go all out and say that it’s my favorite flavored Matcha, it isn’t, but, I am enjoying it, and I’m not sorry at all that I decided to give it a try.

Hemp and Hops as you know are in the same family so you were probably interested in Beer in college too! ;)
haha… no, actually I have never really liked the taste of beer. But I do like hops. Which I guess is weird. I love hops in tea and tisanes. But never have liked the taste of beer, and will really only drink it if I were already drunk. (which I realize probably isn’t a good thing to drink more if one is already drunk … but just try telling me that when I’m drunk … which I might add is very rarely these days).
Hehe. I am very particular about what beers (must be rich, smooth malty, usually high alcohol content) I used to hate IPAs but my sister recently had an ale called Hop Madness that was quite amazing, I tried it after her mother in law mentioned it tasted like a Christmas Tree and I’m all about that (I was there for a bourbon barrel porter) But what I wanted to comment on was a recent thing some friends had said about a paranoid landlord accusing them of growing marijuana in the from yard, he was growing hops on an arbor. The landlords wife confirmed it wasn’t marijuana as she had personal experience from her pre-Born Again days, hehe.
I’d love to try this one, too! I heard there are over 50,000 different uses for hemp! I support many of the ones I am familiar with. I never have used “Mary Jane” but understand it could help many medical issues when used properly. I, personally, use Hemp Hearts in foods to help with digestion. I also like Hemp fibers and Oils for various things.
Insert/Addition for my above statement…I have never use and don’t plan on every using “MJ”. I guess you could just call me a modern-day drug-free hippie! :)
I went to the local Northern Colorado Fibromyalgia meeting which was about medical MJ and I qualify because of chronic migraine nausea not just the pain I have from fibromyalgia. Don’t want it though at this point. I don’t like taking anything that I absolutely don’t have to take. (My topomax to prevent some of the triggers for migraines…oh I won’t go without that!!!)

Just don’t inhale the arbor right!

I had a pair of hemp boots and they were the most comfortable pair of shoes I’ve ever owned, even more comfortable than Vans which are my go-to shoes. I guess I’ll always be a California sidewalk surfer at heart.
