I don’t believe wet storage tastes like rancid or shrimpy fishy at all. The best description I have found is to describe the note as wet wood, not rancid at all. Rancid would if anything be an indicator of bad storage.

Medium steep 30s
Heavy steep 1min or greater
Within the steeps:
Smell then taste.
