Trying my mini white tea cakes in my sampler. I was going to make it gung fu style but decided on grandpa style. Really good white tea. First time I tried Gongmei white tea. It is darker than other white teas I have tried. Definitely more flavor than Silver Needle. I used to not like white tea it did not have much flavor. I realized you have to buy high quality white tea don’t buy cheap low grade white tea. I am looking forward to trying more.
For me, compressed and aged white teas like this are a totally different beast compared to fresh ones, and I like them better!
Yes compressed aged white tea does taste better. I will never buy fresh loose leaf variety again!
