14 Tasting Notes
Ive been finding that rooibos teas are becoming my favourite. This was a nice change to the ones I usually drink. Im not the biggest fan of chai, but I did enjoy this tea. It was not lacking in the spice department, could have use a little more cocoa. If you like chai I would recommend this one.
Flavors: Cinnamon, Cocoa, Spicy
Preparation
I was pretty excited to try my sample of this tea. It had very strong ginger taste and only slightly peach. If the roles had been reversed, I may have considered buying a little more. It would be great for those times you need a little help feeling better. Ginger is pretty amazing that way.
Flavors: Ginger, Peach
Preparation
This tea smells exactly like tart strawberries and slightly creamy when dry. After it is steeped, I can slightly smell the rhubarb. I was curious what this tea would taste like with a splash of milk and it was pretty good. It tastes just like strawberry yogurt. Nice way to curb the sweet tooth without all the calories. This is one of the only times I tried to re-steep a tea, and it turns out it taste just like rhubarb on the 2nd time around. I would keep some on hand but couldn’t drink this on a regular basis. It does make my kitchen smell amazing, which I love!!
Flavors: Strawberry, Tangy, Tart, Yogurt
Preparation
This tea was a nice surprise. It smells just like orange juice, when dry and steeped. I love that this is a stimulant, its a nice change to having to drink black teas for a pick me up. I only had a 5g sample of this, but it did not disappoint. This is one I would add to my tea stock. Just like orange juice for breakfast without the acidic-ness. Would be great as iced tea as well.
Flavors: Orange, Orange Zest
Preparation
When I first opened this bag of tea, the the smell was amazing! Just like maraschino cherries. The taste is similar to the smell, but I find it lacking something. This is probably because I went into it expecting sweet cherries. It is a nice tea to have on occasion, but is not something I would keep on hand.
Flavors: Apple, Cherry
Preparation
This tea smells exactly like wine in my opinion, which I do enjoy. The taste is similar, with notes of tart apples and cinnamon. I only have 25grams of this tea, once it is gone I will not re-purchase. A little too tart for my liking.
Flavors: Apple, Cinnamon, Red Wine, Tangy, Tart
Preparation
This tea smells wonderfully of nuts and bananas. The taste follows. I find this tea tasting different every time I make it. Thanks to the reviews on here, I followed direction and used Davids tea disposable bags, to avoid a messy clean up. This tea was fairly weak, so I added double the amount recommended in the 16oz cup then steeped for 10 minutes. No need for sweetener with this one. I had purchased 100 grams of this and received 50 grams for free. It barely filled up my 100g tin, because its soo heavy. I probably wouldn’t purchase again, but im glad to have tried it, because I love banana flavoured anything!
Flavors: Creamy, Nutty, Sweet
Preparation
This tea smells slightly like burnt caramel and is not salty at all. The taste is the exact same. I was only able to drink one cup of this, now It just sits on my tea shelf. My son who loves to smell all of our teas, cant stand this one, I agree. The reviews sounded fairly good. I think i’m one of the only few people thad does not like this one.
