1013 Tasting Notes
Like most of the Teavana teas I’ve tried, this smells divine…like a nice, juicy orange studded with cloves and a cinnamon stick. The taste doesn’t quite live up to the scent, but I do enjoy it. The fruitiness and spiciness are nicely balanced and it has a silky smooth texture in the mouth that I really like. Just don’t over-steep it, or you’ll get a nasty bitter/sour brew!
Flavors: Cinnamon, Clove, Fruity, Orange, Orange Zest

I was a bit turned off by the smell of this tea in the tin: it has a very sharp (almost sour) beramot scent. However, this mellows out a lot when you steep it. It’s still quite heavy on the bergamot and I wish the black base would pop a bit more…but it’s a very tasty earl grey!
Flavors: Bergamot
Preparation
This tea smells like Christmas! Such a rich, sweet peppermint scent…and it tastes ALMOST as good as it smells. I really don’t notice the rooibos flavor at all, just LOTS of peppermint balanced by a bit of sweetness and depth from the white chocolate. The only thing I don’t like about this tea is that it leaves an oily residue in my infuser and mug that necessitates a good scrub with Dawn after drinking. Otherwise, it’s great!
Flavors: Peppermint, White Chocolate
Preparation
This tea smells just like freshly-chopped walnuts and walnut is definitely the predominant flavor when you steep it. I really don’t taste the green tea base of this one at all. There is, however, just a hint of coconut which compliments the walnut nicely and keeps it from being bitter. Overall, a nice warm, nutty brew. Not sure I’d re-purchase this one, but I’ll certainly finish what I have.
Flavors: Coconut, Walnut
Preparation
This is my favorite English Breakfast Tea (at least at the moment!) It’s rich and malty and full-bodied, takes milk beautifully, and really wakes me up in the morning. I would gladly drink it every day!
Flavors: Earth, Malt
Preparation
This is my very first Pu-erh tea and I absolutely love it! The coconut is strong and bold, but there’s also a rich, warm flavor here that’s hard to describe: it’s almost like a combination of chocolate and woodsmoke (which sounds disgusting, but actually tastes delicious!) This is one of the most flavorful teas I’ve ever had; it’s a whole-mouth flavor that lingers after you’ve finished your cup. I foresee this becoming a staple in my tea cupboard!
Flavors: Chocolate, Coconut, Smoke, Wood
Preparation
This is a delicious chai! It’s super smooth and warm and has a lot of natural sweetness. I enjoy it both with and without milk. The spices are definitely present, but it’s not the tongue-numbing spiciness that I’ve found in Teavana’s newer chais. It’s also highly caffeinated, so it’s a great wake-me-up tea!
Flavors: Cinnamon, Clove, Fruity, Smooth, Spicy, Sweet
Preparation
While brewing, this tea smells just like a ripe, juicy peach…and the flavor does not disappoint! It has a delicious smooth, fruity peach flavor that beautifully compliments the black tea base. You don’t notice the ginger at first, but there’s a nice spicy aftertaste that lingers long after the last sip. This is one I hate to run out of!
Flavors: Fruity, Ginger, Peach, Spicy
Preparation
I expected a much stronger vanilla flavor and was initially disappointed by how little I tasted the vanilla in this tea. But now that I’ve adjusted to what it’s really like, I actually quite enjoy it. The rooibos flavor is pretty strong, but it is pleasantly mingled with apple and cinnamon and that little hint of vanilla. There’s also a bit of sweetness to the aftertaste. It’s still not my favorite, but it’s an easy, soothing option for a bedtime tea.
Flavors: Apple, Cinnamon, Rooibos, Vanilla, Wood
Preparation
I find myself reaching for this tea often. It’s one of the most warm, flavorful, comforting teas I’ve tried so far. It tastes like chocolate-covered toasted almonds with just a hint of vanilla. It makes an AMAZING tea latte, but is also delicious with just a splash of milk or even plain. I don’t find a need to sweeten it at all; it is delicious all on its own! I highly recommend buying the loose-leaf version rather than the tea bags; I’ve tried both and the loose-leaf has much more flavor. I always have this one on hand.
Flavors: Almond, Chocolate, Nuts, Roasted, Vanilla
