12 Tasting Notes
I prefer my Chai with more spice. I found this Bombay Chai to be too mild and not very interesting to sip. I brewed it extra-long to try and get more flavour after my first try. I will note that I drink my chais without any milk or sugar added.
Preparation
This tea from the February Steepster box is my first Houjicha. I find the first brew a little overwhelming in flavor, but the next steeps are great. I mostly taste the roasted grain and don’t find the cocoa flavor that others have mentioned. I like it for an afternoon tea with some shortbread cookies.
Flavors: Roasted Barley, Wood
Preparation
I got a sample of this tea from Adagio as I’m looking for a more local tea to replace Murchie’s Earl Gray Cream Tea that I love. This tea isn’t as good, but I find it very drinkable. I like the vanilla note along with the bergamot.
Preparation
I bought this tea at my local supermarket as I enjoy both Rooibos and vanilla flavors. I found this to be a well-rounded tea that I enjoyed very much for late night sipping when I didn’t want any caffeine. I would love to have some more, but it’s on the expensive side.
