121 Tasting Notes
I wanted something to warm me up on a cold winter night and this did the job. Inspired by the recent thread about what milk/cream people add to their teas, I tried adding vanilla almond milk with a bit of brown sugar… what I ended up with was pumpkin pie goodness. Honestly try adding a little bit of something to add creaminess to the tea and sweetness. So good!
Preparation
Everyone around me has been getting sick, but I feel like this has been keeping my immune system in check. Or maybe it’s all mental, either way I haven’t had much luck steeping this tea more than once. It tastes more watered down at a second steep. I’m almost out of this tea, but I think I’ll try another brand because Davids is lacking for me.
It has been a long day full of finals and counting down the last 3 months until I graduate early. It’s cold, i’m tired and stressed. All I want is chocolate. David’s Tea sent me this as a sample with my order of other holiday themed teas so I brewed it up immediately when I got home. It smells just like hazelnut and chocolate but it tastes like watered down fancy hot cocoa. It’s not bad but it’s not great either. Honestly I would have given it a higher rating if I could taste more of the chocolate or nuts in the tea but I just can’t do it. Maybe I just need to make out like the cookie monster for my stress chocolate binge.
Preparation
Going through my teas from the New Years grab bag and this was one of them. I normally don’t like fruity teas but this one isn’t so bad. It’s not overwhelming but given my tastes, I’m not a fan. It does brew into a very nice iced tea though.
Preparation
Great breakfast tea. I can pick up on the earl grey immediately but the blackberry and vanilla sweetens it up a bit. It doesn’t knock my socks off though. I wish I could taste more of the blackberry and vanilla but the earl grey really overwhelms it. Don’t get me wrong, earl grey is my go to morning tea, but I was hoping to taste more of the blackberry and vanilla.
Preparation
The perfect blend of spice and sweet. I honestly believe this is my favorite tea ever. Opening the bag, the smell is strong of the orange and cranberry, but after brewing the rooibos vanilla chai takes it back and creates a perfect balance for me. I think I’m turning into a chai fan because lately I have really enjoyed teas with some spice. This tea definitely warms me up on a cold night.
Preparation
When I opened the bag, I thought this tea was going to be too sweet for my tastes. Boy was I wrong. Sure it smells almost sickeningly sweet out of the bag, but upon drinking it, this tea is very light. It’s just a hint of tangy sweetness but very relaxing.
