One of my favorite places!

The atmosphere is very calming and comfortable, and the different chairs/tables are unique and interesting. There’s a seating arrangement for everyone, whether you’re alone or with a group. Gorgeous tables, and I like that there are books and games to borrow if you like. No electronics, but honestly that makes it a fantastic place to go to get away from life. I go for spend quality time with friends, or on my own for a cozy place to spend an afternoon reading.

This is where I really got into tea, there’s a nice variety of teas and styles, and everything I’ve had was at least enjoyable, if not fantastic.

A bright, bustling place, lots of people hanging out and working. Would be a nice place to come to hang out with friends as an alternative to a coffee shop. A good place to introduce non-tea-drinking family to tea, as there’s probably something for everyone.

They have a really wide range of teas, so I wouldn’t be surprised if there were some less-than-stellar offerings. We had their Big Red Robe (mine, in gaiwan) and Honey Dong Ding Oolong (in a really pretty mug). Presentation was nice, and the tea was nice. I was happy with my tea, the flavor was good, if not as lingering as other similar Wuyi oolongs I’ve owned and enjoyed. I only had a sip of the honey oolong, but it was really pleasant as well.

Student, scientist, poet, writer-of-monsters, baker of bread and collector of pretty rocks.

Tea interests me because it intersects so many of my other interests: biology, geology, craft, and cooking. Plus it tastes good and making a cup gives me something to do with my hands while reading.
