Fall is here and guess what?! It’s Chestnut season at Lupicia! I cannot wait to snag myself a few bags of this. This tea is a fall staple at home. The green tea leaves and nuttiness of the chestnut compliment each other so well. I definitely recommend this tea as a hot brew and if you’re into experimenting…try this with milk! The base of this tea is a green tea which I usually never think about adding anything to a green but this is an exception. Straight brew is also very lovely and aromatic.

Oh man! This tea is one tea that I cannot stop brewing. I went to Chado for the first time ever and the experience was good. I bought myself 2oz of this amazing flavored tea. I am a hardcore Oolong fan but a nice black tea is good once in a while. I’ve been searching for teas with my favorite nut/fruit in it (Coconut) and so far this little gem is doing the job! Definitely gives off the nice muscatel flavor of the tea black tea. I want to say the base of this is a type of Assam blend…correct me if I’m wrong (: You can definitely get the sweet notes of the vanilla when brewed on it’s own. I’ll give this tea an 8/10 on its own, straight, 3 minutes steep. But Holy Jesus, Joseph and Mary…This tea brewed for 4 minutes with milk and sugar is pure goodness! The coconut notes definitely come through with the milk. The milk literally tastes like sweet coconut milk, the vanilla is a bit subtle and the strength of the black tea only compliments this whole situation! I Love this tea as a milk tea. I would definitely drink straight as a breakfast tea but I have to say, this is going on my “good with milk” stash!

I really like this tea! Very rich in chocolate flavor and super refreshing when it comes to mint flavor! yummy! I usually steep 2 bags for 8min. to get a very bold brew and I add a little milk and honey and it’s divine! Especially on a cold winter night. Total bliss!

drank Sweet Autumn by Lupicia

Tried it, liked it, added soy milk…Loved it! I am not a fan of soy milk and you can even say i think its gross (: but Sweet Autumn tastes awesome with it brewed hot on a chilly autumn afternoon. I liked how you can taste the nice pumpkin and sweet potato notes! I added some agave nectar to sweeten, which i usually don’t do when drinking tea but this was a good exception. Knowing how Rooibos doesn’t burn, I brewed this tea for 10 minutes to get a nice full body steep. I added warm soy milk and some agave nectar and…voila! You got yourself a nice cup of bomb milk tea!

On my quest to finding a great tasting Milk Oolong that is unflavored and at a reasonable price, I ran to Bird Pick. I had currently tried Lupicia’s Milky Gold Oolong and completely fell in love! But after being sold out I had to find an alternative.

I walked into bird pick and asked to try a sample. I was very disappointed that they served me a sample of burned, bitter, and unsatisfying Oolong. I usually steep my Taiwanese Oolongs 1-1.5 min they brewed it for 4 min! I was applaud…later I asked to have it steeped for a minute and it tasted so creamy and buttery. It was a nice tea, made my day (: I bought myself some and ran home to use on my gaiwan.

I rated mid satisfaction because although the tea smells amazing I can taste the low quality in the leaf. I usually steep my oolongs up to 10 times but this one gave up the creaminess on the 3rd steep. Nice tea, just not my absolute favorite.

I tired this tea and fell in love! So far there hasn’t been a milk Oolong tea that I’ve tried and has come close to tasting this great. This tea is unflavored but has a mild floral note and creamy taste that is hard not to love! I have found that this tea tastes the best on the 4th-6th steep. Very rich in taste and creamy in texture.

Amazing hot or cold. Momo Oolong is one of my top favorite flavored teas from Lupicia(: Definitely peachy and surprisingly floral, tastes like a white peach melted into a cup! The high quality Taiwanese Oolong base is also delightful giving this tea its floral notes. If you haven’t tried this tea then….you’re missing out!
