6 Tasting Notes
This can kind of be a hit or miss depending on the day it seems. Sometimes I’m drinking this like it’s going out of style, some days it just tastes like someone stirred pumpkin spice in hot water. I wish the oolong was a little more prevalent, but overall I really enjoy this tea. It needs to be steeped at least 5 minutes for me and you have to shake the bag to evenly distribute everything other wise it can either be too spicy or too weak. I got 250g of this on sale during boxing week and it will probably take a while for me to get through it, but overall it’s a nice, spicy tea that’s great with milk and sugar on a cold day.

I’m so glad that turmeric was used in this tea. Without it, this would’ve been kinda gross. I love mango, but most of the mango teas I’ve tried have been disappointing. The turmeric sort of took the forefront with a soft mango background, but it was definitely pleasant. Not an overpowering taste by any means. The only issue I have with this is that it stained my cup, but oh well. It happens. Not my favourite tea in the world, but I’ll easily be able to finish off the rest of my bag.
At first smell, this tea is sooo sweet. My mouth watered when I had a whiff of it. Once brewed though? Bleck. The first couple of sips were okay, but the stevia in this just left a weird aftertaste in my mouth and I couldn’t finish my cup. I gave it another try since it wasn’t very pleasant hot, so I tried cold brewing it overnight. This tea is definitely much better iced, but still leaves a lot to be desired. I’ll finish off the rest of my 25g or give it to a friend, but I’m not going to be buying anymore.
I’m in school full time this semester and have to take four summer session courses and a full course load next year to graduate in May 2017. On top of this, I need to maintain a 3.75 GPA to get the scholarships I need to support myself in the MA program I’ll be entering in fall of 2017. I. Am. Exhausted. Caffeine is the only thing keeping me going these days. Thank God for this tea.
My mom gifted me this, along with the rest of the Feel-Good collection, for my birthday a couple days ago and I’ve drank almost the whole 25g bag. I love lemon. Seriously, I could drink lemon juice straight, and this tea is soooo lemony. It’s not overwhelmingly tart like pure lemon juice is, but rather soft yet upfront. I also adore the yaupon in this. Why isn’t yaupon everywhere? I’ll never understand.
This tea is the only thing keeping me going through four hours of lectures each day plus reading two books a week and paper writing and all my other out of school activities. I plan on going out tomorrow to pick up at least another 100g. While definitely not for everyone, if you like lemon and earthy teas, this one is a keeper.

I had such high hopes for this! This was a gift I got for Christmas and was so excited to try it. I love chocolate and I love tea, but this blend just didn’t work out. Maybe it’s because I’m not a huge fan of pu’erh, but this just tasted like watered down chocolate with a vague alcohol aftertaste. I ended up giving the rest of the tin to a friend who enjoyed it a bit more than me, but everyone in my family agreed that there was something off about this tea.
Preparation
I received this tea as a gift from my cousin about three years ago. At the the time I really didn’t like any tea besides Lipton green tea and it sat on the shelf up until about a month ago. The first time I brewed a cup of it I nearly gagged. It was watery and had an oily film on the top and vaguely tasted of old chocolate (which admittedly, the chocolate is quite old since I left it so long). I tried it again today and was pleasantly surprised. I brewed it a little longer this time and added a bit more tea.
Overall it was quite pleasant, but because the tea is so old (I don’t recommend leaving tea in a cupboard for three years) it has definitely lost some of its flavour. I think once the rest of it is gone I’ll get some more to give it another go.
