16 Tasting Notes
This tasty Oolong (as others said Teavana’s is expensive) best served flash brewed in my opinion. I’ve gotten up to 10 brews out most sessions. Sweet, bitter and smokey all at the right times, makes for a good afternoon/nighttime tea.
Flavors: Bitter, Earth, Smoke, Sweet
Preparation
Personally, love this tea. In my opinion, it tastes the best flash brewed. It has a grassy taste that can be as strong as matcha depending on the steep time. Oddly enough I think it smells sort of like a summer ham.
Flavors: Grass, Meat
Preparation
Had K-Cups of this. I finally got around to trying it this morning. The “Matcha” Green Tea is a falsehood, all this is, is an Iron grade green tea. Its dark in color about to the shade of a black tea and tastes like Earl Grey.
Flavors: Earl Grey
Preparation
For this tea different colors and flavors can be achieved with different steep times:
2:30 cause a smooth buttery taste that is green in color.
4:00 cause the tea to be more yellow with more of a hoppy taste.
Whilst 8 mins will cause it to have more of a burnt ashy taste that is yellow in color.
Flavors: Butter, Hops, Smooth
