26 Tasting Notes
Well made GABA tea always makes me happy. Lots of full flavor here. To me it has a raw cacao quality that I love. It gets fruity and holds up for many rounds. I have also enjoyed long steeps of 1-3 hours over a small flame.
Preparation
I am definitely a fan of Lala region teas smile emoticon The initial wet leaf aroma is incredibly rich and fruity. I wanted to leave my face buried in the gaiwan. I did brief steeps with boiling water. Light nectar-like flavors emerged alongside subtle fruitiness. As I steeped the tea more and more the fruity and floral qualities developed fully and very satisfyingly. I enjoyed this tea from start to finish and thought the leaf material was also very beautiful. Happy tasty tea!
Preparation
I brewed 7 grams in a purple clay yixing tea pot. Drank the rinse…had to…
I like shorter steeps…then rode the tea over 10 rounds. Considering the history of this tea it is more simply an honor to brew and the tastes are excellent yet the overall experience is just so nostalgic.
Give it a try if you like tasting history.

Preparation
I had some fun making this tea gongfu style in a gaiwan.
I brewed it 5 times. I drank earl grey before I drank any other tea…little kid stuff.
This is simply the best earl grey I’ve had. Definitely high quality ingredients that brewed up a high quality taste.
Share this one with your earl grey loving tea peeps.

Preparation
I brewed this tea twice. I have been having some fun with tasting tisanes gongfucha style.
I used 8 grams in a gaiwan with excellent results. Steeped in 5+ times.
I used 5 grams in my easy steep tea maker. Steeped it twice for about 3 mins.
Both times I found myself wondering why I don’t drink more mate. It had the exact flavor I was looking for from the name, and left me feeling the potent power of mate but not as strong as I experienced in the past, which for me was great.
Definitely try it out.
Preparation
I brewed 8 grams in a jian shui pot about 15 times. Only a year old now, and the tea is simply excellent.
Full bodied, bitter sweet, incredibly durable and long lasting. Great tea, for a great price…Yunnan Sourcing for the win. As usual.
Preparation
I am a fan of this style and know it is difficult to produce. Traditionally it is a 30 hour or so process.
This was well done in my opinion and very smooth…very enjoyable to drink.

I love this tea because it easily brings existing black tea lovers deeper into more variety within the category. It also has a lovely sweet and floral quality that gives it character.
