10 Tasting Notes
When I read about this tea, it was right up my alley, but like many of the other ratings, I was disappointed. It has a great smell, but the after taste is bizarre. I couldn’t quiet put my finger on it, but now after reading other reviews I see it is the licorice that gives is a sweet after taste. Not just sweet, really sweet. I initially thought that maybe it was stevia because it tastes artificial almost. Not very good :(
Preparation
I bought DavidsTea’s new winter collection, and this has to be one of my favourites! Unlike many teas, the chocolate flavour really comes through, maybe more than the mint. But it gives the mint a creamy taste. Its a very comforting tea to enjoy after dinner, or in the evenings. Give it a try!
Preparation
Love this tea! I find it is somewhat similar to read my lips but have more of a candy cane mint, rather than a peppermint flavour. I would recommend it if you like read my lips. It is great with a splash of almond milk and make you feel a little christmas-y even if it is a little early!!
Preparation
I have had this mug for 3 months now and the infuser broke. I was making tea today and went to empty the tea in the garbage when the basket broke from the brim of the infuser. I’ve never put it in the dishwasher and always wash it by hand so I was surprised that is only lasted 3 months. I have other infusing mugs that I’ve had for the same amount of time that work just as well and are still intact!
I love this taste and smell of this one but its the second Mate tea I’ve tried and I think they are giving me headaches. I drink coffee on occasion so I am not new to caffeine but I think the mate teas have quite a bit and maybe that it what causes the headaches. Has anyone else had this problem? Its a shame because Chocolate Rocket really is a great tea, maybe a little too much chicory for me but still delicious.
Preparation
This might be my current favorite tea!!! I love having it with agave and when I’m feeling indulgent, Silk’s soy creamer for coffee. It is very sweet and flavourful, if you like dessert style teas, this is the ultimate. DavidsTea will stop selling it in March 2013 so definitely get some in your mug ASAP.
I received the Whisky White in a DavidsTea sample pack. My boyfriend, a whisky drinker, loves it! I don’t think he really find it tastes much like whisky but I do find there could be similarities. The peach is the first scent I notice. I don’t think I’ll be buying it again but I would recommend it.
I love to drink this tea when I’ve eaten too much and my stomach hurts! I think it is caffein free… which is great for after dinner. I don’t actually believe that it causes or helps one loose weight, but I believe it helps with digestion. Its smells and tastes citrus-y but isn’t exactly fruity, it has a deeper stronger taste as well. I always have lots of it on hand.
