This has a clear green vegetal smell on dry leaves, wet leaves, and freshly brewed tea. It’s nothing like other green teas I have had in the past.

The nose is of fried zucchini and the body is thick, which is all deceiving coming from a tea so light in color, but then again that’s how sencha rolls. The body is a soupy broth of vegetal umami and subtle sweetness. I’m wondering how the second or third brew is going to go. Now I understand why Chinese green teas have a body of free open mountain ranges, and Japanese green teas (in general) are much more savory and feel like home.

Infusion 2: 40 Seconds
The delightful smell is even stronger on a second brewing. The taste follows with a strong body, this cup of tea is like a hug.

Infusions 3 and 4: 60 seconds
There is a bit more sweetness but overall the profile has stayed quite consistent.

90-100 Stellar, to be displayed proudly if shared with guests. Or just a tea that hits its mark well.
80-90 I enjoy this tea a lot, would purchase and drink it. Fine if it lives in the pantry
70-80 Above Average, would drink it and probably still buy if the mood struck me.
50-70 Average, I would still drink it when available.
0-50 I don’t care for this tea, and have no desire to care for it.
