Excellent breakfast destination before heading out into Teramachi. The menu offers tea infused waffles that could feed a family, along with a pot of tea of your choice. Good service and lovely atmosphere. I make a point of going there every time I visit Kyoto.
Decent selection of teas at an affordable price. Definitely not the best out there, but a good option if you’re feeling peckish and in need of a warm pot of tea.

David’s Tea is a wonderful shop for non-conventional teas. They have a very wide selection of products, from rare hand-rolled white tea to festive Christmas mix. I recommend going there with lots of cash because you’ll want to buy everything!
This is a very nice tea house that offers a variety of hojicha and matcha however, the price is a little bit steep for what you’re drinking. The iced hojicha options are delightful and tasty however, the matcha is seriously lacking. Finding good matcha in Japan is unfortunately as hard as finding good matcha anywhere else in the world. You can order a bowl of matcha (think tea ceremony type of presentation) but don’t expect much out of your cup. If you’re a fan of matcha like myself, than I would suggest to stay away from this one and opt for the hojicha instead.
