This tea is quite good. It had a fair amount of fermentation flavor left but not too much. There was no fishyness or funk to it however. It was also fairly sweet from the beginning with very little bitterness. I wasn’t paying enough attention to the specifics to tell you much about notes of chocolate or anything but there was some fruity flavors in later steeps when the fermentation flavor faded. Overall this was as good as any of the best ripes I’ve drank from Menghai Tea Factory. I highly recommend the Aliexpress store King Tea.

I steeped this tea eight times with 12.2g leaf and boiling water in a 180ml teapot. I gave it a 10 second rinse and a 10 minute rest. I steeped it for 5 sec, 5 sec, 7 sec, 10 sec, 15 sec, 20 sec, 25 sec, and 30 sec. The tea was not finished but I was at my caffeine limit so stopped. I probably could have gotten another four steeps out of it at least.

I am Allan. I live and work in Long Island, New York. I have been amassing a tea collection for nearly two years and have spent way too much money. I now try to buy mostly Puerh as I like it most and it lasts nearly forever. Black tea has a habit of going bad. If anyone is interested in tea swaps I am open to ideas and have quite a cupboard.
