Another awesome offering from our “Aged as Mao Cha” series! This time we were able to purchase a lovely lot of Big Snow Mountain (Mengku, Lincang) mao cha harvested in Spring 2014!
The mao cha was stored in our friend’s tea warehouse in Mengku since 2014. The warm and somewhat humid weather has given this tea a lightly aged taste and feel to it, while preserving the original character of the Big Snow Mountain terroir! The tea is very clean, without any kind of mustiness at all! The tea soup is orange in color (our photographer didn’t brew with hot enough water when he took the pictures, the tea soup color is a bit off), and the tea is cooling in the mouth! There is still a strong Mengku bite to this tea and the cha qi is very pleasant indeed!
This is a great Mengku tea for those who enjoy lightly aged sheng or would like a head start on the aging process!
