This is a pure Assamica black tea from He Kai village in Menghai. Pure Assamica varietal is the same varietal that’s used for pu-erh tea production, giving the tea a thick and robust character. There are floral, fruit, malt, bitter, and astringent elements in this tea, giving it a complex multi-faceted uniqueness. This is also very much a tea that will develop more subtlety and complexity with 6 months to 2 years of age.
