When Portuguese explorers first arrived in present-day Taiwan, they named the lush eden “Ilha Formosa,” meaning “beautiful island.” This Beautiful Oolong tea is grown on Taiwan’s mist-covered mountains, and its dynamic flavor seems to mirror the tea’s scenic origins.
The floral tea possesses hints of raisin and cranberry, making it an excellent cup whether served hot or on ice. It’s also thought to help fight off illness and speed up the metabolism.
The word oolong comes from the Chinese wulung, which means “Black Dragon.” A cross between green and black teas, oolong is its own unique creation, alone on a misty mountaintop.
