Toffee Apple

Well, apple-day I guess? Two apple teas and now with toffee. As I wrote yesterday, not much a fan of sugar-based sweets. But again, it probably suits well the season.

Pinkish and bright color, strong apple aroma, almost artificial; followed with definitely artificial smelling toffee.
In taste very, but very sweet tasting toffee with slight acidity and sweetness of red apples, so definitely this blend is true to its name; but sadly I am not a fan of those flavours. That makes rating hard to me, so I am keeping it without it. Because I believe there are guys out there who would like it and my personal preference doesn’t allow me to enjoy it that much.

Yawn Advent Calendar: Day 6

I’m a total sucker for anything caramel/toffee, and I love apples, so I’m into the concept of this one!

So, there’s a pleasant toffee flavor, similar to the one from the Candy Cane Popcorn blend, but unfortunately the hibiscus just totally takes over! The tart hibiscus also obliterates any apple flavoring that might be here; even though apple is the first ingredient, I really don’t taste it.

I feel like they could call this one “Sour Toffee Apple” or “Toffee-Covered Sour Apple” and get away with it, but as is, this one totally lacks the candy sweetness of a toffee apple. :(

I appreciate that this blend keeps it simple. It’s apple, and it has apple, and it’s apple-y. The addition of hibiscus adds juuuuust that touch of tart I don’t love. But you might! =)
