Gongfu!
Brewed a small amount of this in a tiny gaiwan so that I had an excuse to break in a new BLT teacup that I finally got in the mail – I ordered it in April and due to Covid it was pretty backed up in getting to me…
This was a nice session with lots of sloppy/splashy poors. One of my favourite kinds of way to brew tea because it relies on gut instinct when brewing and just feels more casual and approachable. I enjoyed the mix of autumnal leaf notes, molasses, and brighter, slightly acidic peach jam notes in this compressed white tea & it was also a good reminder that I wanted to do a side by side of the different years’ productions…
