2016 "Road to Lincang"

I was really impressed this tea!
This tea is about jasmine. Gentle powdery and sweetness. Flowery notes are very intensive from first to 6th step. I got more hay and camphor’s notes in further steps. No bitterness at all.
I’ve started from 5 sec
10 sec, 15 sec, 20 sec, 30sec, 40 sec, 50 sec, 1min, 1min 30 sec, 2 min
Overall, I was enjoining this tea in every step. Clear and pungent. Smooth and round. Flowery and sweet. Very notable ‘qi’ from the 3rd step and gentle huiguan. No complexity but the perfect candidate for everyday puerh.

This was an excellent tea. Sampled it from the Puerh Tea TTB. It has a very clean and crisp taste. This was especially so drinking it out of my new silver teacup. It did indeed have a light fruitiness and a slight bitterness. This is one I will consider buying if I ever get around to an order from What Cha.

I gave this ten steeps in a 75ml teapot with 5.3g leaves and boiling water. I gave it a 10 second rinse. I steeped it for 5 sec, 5 sec, 7 sec, 10 sec, 15 sec, 20 sec, 25 sec 30 sec, 45 sec, and 1 minute. I think the tea would have gone a few more steeps if I didn’t want to move on to something else.

Thats basically it in a nutshell – I found this easy to drink, the vege-bitter was never overpowering, slight cooling menthol-aroma also part of that aspect. Sweetness, decent longevity – i’m still drinking it well over 10 steeps. Also nice price being a tenner for 100g, and UK-based, so good value for me.
